February 13th
Valentines Day. A day of dancing teddy bears. God-awful love songs. Candlelit dinners for two. What the hell. Nauseating, isn't it? Though many couples and singles do something special to mark the occasion, almost as many on both sides of the relationship aisle confess to loathing the sugary day of romance and the stress, depression, guilt and disappointment that bubble to the surface when it arrives, maddeningly, year after year. Valentine’s Day has gone the same way as Christmas, it has been hijacked to supply the paper market. Saint Valentine used to be the patron saint of lovers, now he seems to be the patron saint of card makers. Now im not going to complain about my own relationship status because I happen to be quite content for the time being. So in order to not be a complete Scrooge this Valentines season, I have put together a short list of things that I do love. 1. The Family. (ok sue me. who doesnt love theirs?) Be mine valentine♥
Reasons to hate Valentines Day:
1. Valentines Day makes people afraid to start dating someone
2. Valentines Day is a disaster for those who enjoy ahem..."dating around"
3. It causes relationships to linger...too long
2. My crew. Ranging in ages from 17-27, I do love them all for being the greatest anyone could ask for. And for being so damn indie.
3. Double dutching. The rhythmic thud of the ropes is one of the best sounds.
4. The feel of the sand on my feet, sun on my back, and the spray of the ocean on my face (too cliche? I don't give a damn. It's Valentines day.)
5. Those days you leave the house feeling like a million bucks.
6. Anything indie. Duh. I love the word indie. I love indie clothes indie bands indie do's indie films and especially indie gossip blogs. Hello provo push slash cush.

Thank You Jesus?
So we are all (hopefully) relatively aware of the so called "Secret-menu" In'n'Out serves. Including items such as animal style burgers and fries, the Triple Threat, and the Flying Dutchman. Also the menu does not only stop at 4x4 but would probably go on into infinity (or as big as your stomach can handle of course. Or your wallet for that matter). Personally, anytime I go I have to get a 2x3 with animal style fries. Of course, I don't eat anything for the next week and a half, but it's usually well worth it.
Getting back onto topic however, I discovered the other day that Jamba Juice also in fact has a "Secret-menu" as well! The entire menu consists of "unhealthy" smoothies named after things that would involve copyright violations were they to be included on the menu. Ive been doing some research of my own on this and specific ones I know exist are:
*White Gummi Bear
(my personal favorite)
*Sourpatch Kid
*Peanut Butter and Jelly
*Apple Pie
*Fruity Pebbles
*Rainbow Sherbet
*Pink Starburst
*Strawberry Shortcake
*Push Pop
*Skittles
*"Thank You Jesus"
and last but not least
*Orgasm
So the next time you find yourself in the delectable Juices of Jamba, don't even think about ordering a boring ol' Strawberries Wild. Down a power sized Orgasm instead.
~Disclaimer: Although confessing that these Jambas are indeed quite tantalizing to the senses, I never said anything about them being remotely good for you. So to all you nicole richies out there, (pre-pregnancy of course) beware.

There is something brilliant about this...
although not quite a music video, arcade fire's new promo clip is nonetheless smart and quite catchy. an interactive video that storyline varies depending on the controlling of the viewer. The solemn musical productions is equally paired with a sparse black and white palette with plenty to both functional and aesthetic empty spaces. Highly viral.
